Countess Beatrix of Loccum

Beatrix was born about 1140 in Loccum, Hannover, Prussia.¹ Beatrix's father was Count Wulbrand of Loccum and Hallermund I and her mother was Countess Beatrix of Rheineck. Her paternal grandparents were Count Burchard of Loccum I and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were Count Otto of Salm and Countess Gertrud of Northeim. She had three brothers and a sister, named Burchard, Ludolf, Wulbrand and Adelheid. She was the oldest of the five children.
