Wenceslas was born in 0929.¹ Wenceslas' father was Duke Vratislav of Bohemia I and his mother was Drahomir of Stodar. His paternal grandparents were Duke of Bohemia Boriwoj Premysl and Ludmilla Mielnick. He had a brother named The Cruel. He was the younger of the two children.
