Joan was born about 1140 in Storeton, Wirral, Cheshire, England.1   Joan's father was Alexander de Stourton and her mother was Amabilla de Silvester.  Her paternal grandparents were Guy de Storeton and <Unknown>; her maternal grandparents were Ranulph FitzAlan de Silvester and <Unknown>. She had a sister named Agnes.  She died in 1220 in Kingsley, Runcorn, Cheshire, England.1
