John de Maxwell

John was born about 1278 in Carlaverock, Dumfries, Scotland.¹ John's father was Herbert de Maxwell and his mother was <Unknown>. His paternal grandparents were Sheriff Aymer de Maxwell and Mary McGeachan. He had a sister named Herbert. He was the older of the two children. He died before 1343.¹
