Countess Berthe de Maurienne

Berthe was born on September 21st, 1051 in Maurienne, Savoie, France.¹ Berthe's father was Count of Savoy Otto de Maurienne I and her mother was Adelaide de Montferrat. Her paternal grandparents were Count of Savoie Humbert (Whitehands) de Maurienne and Auxilia of Noyen. She had two brothers named Amadeus and Pietre. She died at the age of 36 on December 27th, 1087.²
