Walter was born about 1100 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.¹ Walter's father was Sheriff of Salisbury, Earl of Salisbury Edward d'Everaux and his mother was Maud FitzHubert. His paternal grandparents were Earl of Roumare Walter de Evereux and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Ralph FitzHubert and <Unknown>. He had three sisters named Mahaut, Maud and Matilda. He died in 1147 in Bradenstoke, Wiltshire, England. His burial was in The Choir, Bradenstoke, Wiltshire, England.²³
