Acton Scott

Acton was born in 1748 in Bedford Co., Virginia.¹ Acton's father was William Scott and his mother was Lucretia (Lucy) James. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Scott and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Thomas James and Alice Garland. He had ten brothers and a sister, named Thomas, William, Charles, John, George, James, Evan, Joseph, Obediah, Peter and Sarah. He was the fourth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 46 in 1794 in Washington Co., Virginia.²
