Thomas was born about 1500 in Stafford, England.1   Thomas' father was William Offley and his mother was Dorrington.  His paternal grandparents were John Offley and Margery. He had a brother and three sisters, named John, Margaret, Elizabeth and Margery. He had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Robert, Thomas, Richard, William, Hugh, Katherine and Offley.
