William Mure

William was born about 1265 in Rowallan, Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland.¹ William's father was Archibald Mure and his mother was Margaret de Montgomerie. His paternal grandparents were Gilchrist Mure and Isabel Cumming; his maternal grandparents were Sir John de Montgomerie and Margaret Murray. He had a brother and two sisters, named Andrew, Margaret and Jonet. He was the third oldest of the four children. He died about 1348.¹
