Isabel, known as Elizabeth, was born in 1081 in Vermandois, Normandy.1  Elizabeth's father was Count Vermandois Hugh (The Great) Magnus De Crepi and her mother was Adelaide De Vermandois.  Her paternal grandparents were King Henry Capet Of France I and Grand Dutchess Ann Agnesa Yaroslavna Of Kiev; her maternal grandparents were Count Herbert De Vermandois IV and Adele De Valois. She had three sisters named Beatrice, Maud and Constance.  She was the third oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 49 on February 17th, 1130 in St. Nicaise, Meulan, France.  Her burial was in Lewes, England.2 1
