Simon was born about 1116 in Caus Castle, Wattlesborough, Shropshire, England.1   Simon's father was 2nd Lord of Caus & Wattlesborough William Corbet and his mother was <Unknown>.  His paternal grandparents were 1st Lord of Caus Roger Corbet and <Unknown>. He had five brothers named Roger, William, Walter, Hugh and Robert.  He was the fourth oldest of the six children.  He died about 1165 in Caus, Shropshire, England.1
