Robert Bertram I

Robert was born about 1160 in Mitford Castle, Morpeth, Northumberland, England.¹ Robert's father was Richard Bertram I and his mother was Menebell Gisulph. His paternal grandparents were William Bertram I and Hawise de Merlay; his maternal grandparents were Simon Gisulph and <Unknown>. He had a sister named Aline. He was the younger of the two children.
