Enlisted in Revolutionary War in Worthington ,MA on May 4,1775; served in Capt. Ebenezer Webber's Co.,8th regiment.Continental Infantry, commanded by Col. John Fellows for 8 months and was discharged Dec.23,1775
He re-enlisted and was discharged 6 times from first enlistment to the end of the war in 1783 .
During that time he transferred to Valley Forge, PA on March19,1778 to the Commender-in-Chief's Guard. By the end of the war he had earned the rank of Lieutenant.

gravesite is in the "Old Hall Cemetery" Pierpont but all writing on the stone is all washed away.

the old farm is located on Turner Rd. but is long abandoned

Bartlett's co., Col.Wesson's regt.; enlistment 3 yrs. or during war; reported enlisted prior to May 31,1777; also Lieut. Col.Millen's co., Col.James Wesson's regt.; Continental Army pay accounts for service fromJan.1,1777 to Dec.31,1779; also, Capt.Samuel Bartlett's co.,Col.
