William C. Warner 
William C. was born on May 5th, 1815 in Rome, New York.1 William C.'s father was Arnold Warner and his mother was Polly Cutler. His paternal grandparents were James Warner and Abigail Bates. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Walter W., Henry C., James A., Beulah, Prudence and Mary (Polly). He was the second youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 67 on July 24th, 1882 in Baraboo, Sauk Co., Wisconsin.1 General Notes

Prior to settling in Baraboo, Wisconsin, William went by wagon train to Colorado and was a successful miner there.
Postmaster at Baraboo under President Buchanan's administration and was for many years identified with the business interests of that place.
