¹ David's father was Samuel Norton and his mother was Dinah Birdseye. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Norton and Elizabeth Mason. He had six brothers and a sister, named Ebenezer, David, Samuel, Noah, Noah, Samuel and Dinah.¹
