Asa Leonard 
Asa was born on April 26th, 1771 in Worthington,Hampshire, Mass..1 Asa's father was John Leonard and his mother was Sarah Pierce. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Leonard and Lydia Stanton. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Erastus, Stephen, Ezekial, Lydia and Tamma. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 45 in 1816 in Pierpont, Ashtabula, Ohio.1 General Notes

In 1811 Asa Leonard purchased land in Pierpont, Ashtabula, Ohio near former nieghbors in Mass., deed 4 April !812.
The family came at the end of the War of 1812 thru Buffalo, just 2 weeks after it was burned. He is buried in Sam Brown Burying Ground in Pierpont .
