Bygod was born in Settrington, Yorkshire, England and his baptism took place in Settringham, Yorkshire, Eng.1 2 Bygod's father was James Eggleston and his mother was Juliana. He had two brothers and five sisters, named James, John, Elizabeth, Janet "Jane", Margaret, Alice and Dorothy. He died on September 1st, 1674 in Windsor, Hartford, Ct.3 General Notes
