1   Walter Gee's father was Alvin Jordan Dortch and his mother was Tennessee Jordan Glover.  His paternal grandfather was William Archer Dortch. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Jasper Newton, Charlie, Millard Seals, Richard Oliver, Weldon Hall, Hester Ann, Martha Newton, Mary Bell, Sally Gooden and Theresa.1
