William Curtis Dewey 
William Curtis was born on August 29th, 1859 in Rockford, IL.1 William Curtis' father was Simeon J. Dewey and his mother was Rebecca Mira Curtis. His paternal grandparents were Simeon Dewey and Betsey Bigelow Knight; his maternal grandparents were Hosmer Curtis and Eleanor Melick. He had a brother and three sisters, named Charles Francis, Lizzie, Alice Mira and Lillie Jane. He was the second youngest of the five children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Simeon John, Lorenzo, Frances Moore and Mira Olive.1 -
