Julia Ella was born on June 2nd, 1849 in Berlin, VT.1 Julia Ella's father was Oliver Dewey and her mother was Ursula Frances Comings. Her paternal grandparents were William Dewey and Abigail Flagg; her maternal grandparents were Fenno Commings and Rebecca Smart. She had a brother and two sisters, named Benjamin Elwyn, Laura Frances and Edna Rebecca. She was the second youngest of the four children.1 -
