William was born on June 14th, 1803 in Stamfordham,Northumberland,Eng.1 William's father was Robert Bell and his mother was Alice Rutter. His paternal grandparents were Anthony Bell and Hannah Yalloly. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Anthony, John Watson Sr, Joseph, Ann, Jane, Hannah and Mary.1 -
