Amos Beach 
Amos was born in Wallingford, CT.1 Amos' father was John Beach and his mother was Mary Royce. His paternal grandparents were John Beach and Mary Royce; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Royce and Sarah Baldwin. He had eight brothers and two sisters, named Linus, Jacob, Samuel, John, Royce, Baldwin, Adna, Edmund, Mary and Mary. He had a half-brother named Barnabus.2 General Notes

Amos is the one to whom his father deeded the home place and who cared for the father in his old age...Amos tended the mill in West Goshen for many years and until after 1777 and is said to have died there. He was a staunch patriot during the Revolutionary War...He signed petitions in Goshen during the war which are on file with his signature and that of his son Amos, Jr., in the unpublished records of Connecticut. He is a Revolutionary ancestor for those desiring to enter the D.A.R. or S.A.R. - Beach Family Magazine.
