Amanda Baldwin

Amanda was born on August 17th, 1853 in Burdette, Buchanan Co., MO.¹   Amanda's father was Elias Lewis Baldwin and her mother was Margaret Ann McQueen.  Her paternal grandfather was Unkown Baldwin; her maternal grandfather was Unkown McQueen. She had two sisters named Mahala and Anna.  She was the oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Edward, Mary and Lucy.  She died  due to General weakness following influenza at the age of 90 on January 5th, 1944 in Colfax, Jasper, IA.  She was buried on January 7th, 1944 in Greencastle Cemetary, Jasper County, IA.^1 1
