Martin Alvord 
Martin was born on January 15th, 1814 in Bolton, CT.1 Martin's father was Martin Alvord and his mother was Sophia Shepherd. His paternal grandfather was Saul Alvord; his maternal grandparents were Benoni Shepherd and Ann Alvord. He had two brothers and a sister, named James, Anson Shepherd and Sophia Ann. He was the oldest of the four children. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Elijah Anson, Frederick, Edwin Dwight, Augustus, Martha Aurelia and Lucy Ann. He died at the age of 67 on November 4th, 1881 in Bolton, CT.1 -
