Windsor MO - Mildred L. Jackson, 70, Route 1, Leeton, MO died Monday at Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia. She was born Sep 6, 1913, near Green Ridge, MO. Her parents were Eri Calvert Ruffin and Susie Margaret Craig Ruffin. On Sep 21, 1935, she married Belford G. Jackson, who survives. Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Windsor, where she served as organist for 28 years. She was a member of the Valley Grove Extension Club and the Sewing and Neighbor clubs in her community. She had attended Central Missouri State Teacher's College and she taught at the Bryson School for three years. She was the accompanist for 11 Missouri State Extension conventions and the National convention. Mrs. Jackson also composed the music for the state Extension Club song. She is survived by her husband, Belford G. Jackson, of the home; two sons, Darrell Jackson and wife, Ann, of Lohman, MO; and Ken Jackson and wife, Lucretia, of Memphis, TN; a brother, Emmett Ruffin of Green Ridge; also five grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Windsor. Burial will be in Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor.
