Virginia Land Office Patents and Grants has the following record: "Baker,
Evan, Henrico Co (Apl 16, 1683) 89:0:8 in the Parish of Bristol on the
south side of the James River and north side of Swift Creek, adjoining
Henry Randolph, Patent 7, p.278". Would appreciate ANY information about
the Evan Baker family and any records about a Thomas Baker, Mariner, master
of the "Elizabeth" (late 1600's), who married Elizabeth Randolph and died
in Virginia near Richmond. Thank you! Elizabeth Baker
