Last Will and Testament of Robert Wiley Rhoades(A reasonable copy therof)
In the name of God, Amen. I RW Rhoades, of the county of Trigg, being sick and weak in body, but of sound mind and distinct memory, for which I thank God, and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life, and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly estate as it has blessed God to bless me with.
I give and bequeath the same, manner following, that is to say; I give to Dicy Ingram $20.00, and in case she has any children, they are to have one hundred dollars each, if not more than three, and I give to Charity Rhoades one bed stede and clothing, and twenty five dollars in cash, and I wish the remainder of my household and kitchen furniture stock and etc to be made sale of immediately after my decease, and the profit thereof to be equally divided between Robert Rhoades, Ephriam Rhoades, Thomas Rhoades, Wiley Rhoades and Charity Rhoades, after all just debts and funeral expenses are paid for, etc.
I wish to be divided as aforesaid, except a tract of land where I now reside, which I wish Thomas Rhoades and Wiley Rhoades to take at it's valuation, and I also give my three Black boys, Isis, Bob, and Bill to my five children P: ROBERT RHOADES, EPHRIAM RHOADES, THOMAS RHOADES, WILEY RHOADES and CHARITY RHOADES, and wish them to be kept in the family. I also wish Robert Rhoades and Ephriam Rhoades to be my executors, being in my right mind, I announce this as my last will and testament.

I, Albert S Dabney, clerk of the court for the county aforesaid, inherby certify that the foregoing last will and testament of Robert Wiley Rhoades deceased, was on the 31st day of March 1853, proven in open court according to law, by the subscribing witnesses there to and on the first day of April 1853 decided by the said court to be the last will and testament of said deceased, and appeal having been taken from the said deceased to the circuit court and the decision being affirmed, it is on this day returned there-from into said county court and ordered to be recorded.
Whereupon said last will and testament, together with the foregoing certificate, both have been duly admitted to record in my office, given under my hand this 12th day of Dec. 1853.
