Mystery Surrounds Lyon County Death
Jasper Fulks Found Dead In Woods And Cause Of Death Unknown
Last Seen Friday afternoon And Remains Found Sunday Morning
Jasper Fulks, a young farmer of Lyon county living in the neighborhood of Pleasant Hope church a couple of miles from the Trigg county line and between Star Lime Works and Ironton, was found dead in the woods a couple of miles from his home Sunday morning.

Fulks was perhaps twenty four years of age and the son of Dave Fulks and a nephew of Dr. D. J. Travis, of Eddyville.

He and his father in law, Will Murray, so we are informed, visited the home of Luman Mitchusson Friday afternoon. They left the home of Mitchusson about five o'clock and started home. In some way the father in law and Fulks became separated. They were riding horseback.

When Fulks failed to reach home, search of the neighborhood was made and it was Sunday morning late when his body was found in the woods with slight bruises about the face and perhaps on other parts of his body.

We understand the authorities of Lyon county are investigating the matter, but whether death was caused by foul play or from natural causes, we have not been advised.

We understand that Fulks was the son of a splendid citizen of Lyon county, but that the young man himself had been somewhat wild in his habits.

He is survived by the wife and one child, besides many other relatives.
