Moritz von Hessen-Kassel

Moritz was born in 1600.  Moritz's father was Moritz von Hessen-Kassel and his mother was Agnes von Solms-Laubach.  His paternal grandparents were Wilhelm lV von Hessen-Kassel and Sabine von Wuertemberg. He had two brothers and a sister, named Otto, Wilhelm V Landgraf and Elisabeth.  He was the second youngest of the four children. He had seven half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named Phillip, Hermann, Moritz, Friedrich, Christian, Ernst, Philipp, Agnes, Juliane, Sabine, Magdalene, Sofie, Christine and Elisabeth.  He died at the age of 12 in 1612.
