Philip I "the Handsome" Koenig was born in 1478 in Bruges, Flanders.1   Philip I "the Handsome" Koenig's father was Habsburg Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian.  His paternal grandfather was Charles The Bold.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 28 in 1506.1
