His paternal grandparents were Louis Comte von Montbelliard and Sophie Comtesse von Bar; his maternal grandparents were Guillaume II Count von Burgund-Macon and Stephanie De Longwy. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Louis, Thierry II Count, Frederic, Guillaume, Etienne, Agnes De, Miss and Gunthilde. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died on March 10th, 1149.1 -
