His paternal grandparents were Fulk II " Der Gute " von Anjou and Gerverga von Gatinais; his maternal grandparents were Adelaide and Robert Count von Troyes. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Maurice, Fulk III "The Black" Count, Ermangarde, Adela (Blanca) and Gerberga.1 -
