Lester Leon's father was Lester Adna Williams and his mother was Willie Mettie Wright. His paternal grandparents were John Rutledge Williams and Rowena V. Blair; his maternal grandparents were William Wright and Lula Francis Randolph. He had a brother and three sisters, named John Jason, Bertha Luena, Oletha and Emma Lou.-
