¹ Martha's father was Thomas Timmons and her mother was Sarah Truitt. Her maternal grandparents were Job Truitt and Mary Timmons. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Nehemiah, Stephen, George, Levi, Betty, Rhoda and Mary.¹
