Ann was born about 1451 in Yanwath Hall, Cumberland.1   Ann's father was Lancelot Threlkeld and her mother was Margaret Bromflete. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Lancelot, Lancelot, James, Christopher, Margaret and Elizabeth.  She was the second oldest of the seven children.1
