John Mortimer 
John was born about 1225.1 John's father was Ralph De Mortimer and his mother was Gwladus Ddu "The Dark". His paternal grandparents were Roger II De Mortimer and Isabel De Ferrers; his maternal grandparents were Llywelyn Fawr "Der Grosse" Prinz von Wales and Tangwystyl Goch. He had three brothers named Peter, Hugh and Roger De Mortimer Lord. He was the second oldest of the four children. He had a half-brother named William.1 -
