Adela was born about 1398 in Sedgebrook, Lincolnshire, England.1 Adela's father was John Markham and her mother was Elizabeth Cressy. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Markham and Isabelle Caunton. She had two brothers named Henry and Robert. She was the oldest of the three children.1 -
