Hermann Ferdinand Adolph was born on January 8th, 1852 in Hoya.1 Hermann Ferdinand Adolph's father was Phillip Ferdinand Louis Carl Wilhelm Guenin and his mother was Wilhelmine Alexandrine Phillipine Seidenberg. His paternal grandparents were Joseph De La Courvasie Guenin and Friedericke Poehling. He had five brothers and a sister, named Eduard Hermann Frank Conrad, Frederich Carl Wilhelm, Theodor Wilhelm, Henry Wilhelm, Unbaptised and Fredericke Jenny. He was the third youngest of the seven children.1 -
