Humberge was born about 1025 in Of, Angouleme, Charente, France.1 Humberge's father was Geoffrey Taillefer and her mother was Petronille De Archaic. Her paternal grandparents were Guillaume Taillefer and Gerberga von Anjou; her maternal grandparents were Mainard (Le Riche) Archaic and Hildegarde. She had five brothers named Foulques, Geoffrey, Arnold (Arnaud), Guillaume and Aymar (Ademar). She was the youngest of the six children.1 -
