James Bryant 
James was born in 1774 in Trough Shoals (now Pacolet Mills), South Carolina.1 James' father was William Bryant and his mother was Sallie (Millie) Tolleson. His maternal grandfather was John Tolleson. He had a brother named Reuben. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 79 on November 19th, 1853.1
