William R. was born in January 1855.1 William R.'s father was Jonas Austin and his mother was Louisa J. Cooper. His maternal grandparents were Henry Cooper and Patience Back. He had a brother and a sister, named Emerson C. and Quintella. He was the second oldest of the three children.1 -
