Betsey Perkins was born on March 30th, 1817 in Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire. Betsey Perkins' father was James Woodbury and her mother was Lucy Story. Her paternal grandparents were Hezadiah Woodbury and Hepsebeth Colby. She had four sisters named Henrietta Stinson, Ruthyan Story, Lorane Dilleno and Mary Sophia. She was the third oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 57 on March 31st, 1874 in Brighton, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. She was buried in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.-
