Myrtle was born on January 20th, 1892 in Oskaloosa, Mahaska, Iowa. Myrtle's father was Lindley Murry Southwick and her mother is Mary Otilla Winters. Her paternal grandparents are Stephen Wilbor Southwick and Rachel Wood Irish. She had two sisters named Grace and Leta. She died at the age of 43 on April 9th, 1935 in Kirkman, Shelby, Iowa. She was buried in Friend's Cem, Oskaloosa Mahaska, Iowa.-
