Phoebe was born on April 27th, 1813 in Salisbury, Hillsborough, New Hampshire.  Phoebe's father was Iddo Scribner and her mother was Phebe Peaslee.  Her maternal grandfather was Abraham Peaslee and her maternal grandmother is Martha Bean. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Abraham Peaslee, Daniel, Sinclair Cinkler, Iddo, Polly, Judith and Martha.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 84 on November 27th, 1897 in Lewiston/Goldendale, MN/WA.

‌Phoebe and Moses were married in a religious ceremony on March 28th, 1839 in Wilton (maybe), Maine.  They had a son and two daughters, named Enoch Wallace, Alice Guilford and Helena Choate.
