Her paternal grandparents were Moses Brown Scribner and Mary A. Kendrick. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Frank Adelbert, Ellery Kendrick, Arthur Mason, Frederick Benjamin, Wilford Andrews, Herbert Earle, Mary Emma, Emily Frances and Helen Elizabeth.
