Florin B. was born in August 1857 in Monroe, Ashtabula, OH. Florin B.'s father was Simeon Scribner and his mother was Eliza J. Sargent. His maternal grandparents were Edward Dean Sargent and Rowena E. A. Edwards. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Thomas Jefferson, Hosea B., William E., Duane, Alzina Alvira and Mina Alvira. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 56 on March 13th, 1914 in Monroe, Ashtabula, OH.
