Laura Rae was born on March 1st, 1889 in Newport, Nebraska. Laura Rae's father was Herbert Eugene Sargent and her mother was Mary Gould. Her paternal grandparents were Americus Vespucius Sargent and Mary H. Whipple. She had a brother and two sisters, named Van Eugene, Ruthie M. and Almena E.. She was the second youngest of the four children. She died at the age of 93 on February 12th, 1983 in Friday Harbor, Washington.-
