Ila Dot was born on December 5th, 1895 in Frontier, Hillsdale County, Michigan. Ila Dot's father was Homer Warren Sargent and her mother is Maude Arcelia Hatch. Her paternal grandparents were James Warren Sargent and Helen Mar Cary. She had three brothers named Otto Elmer, Roscoe Conklin and Orlin Cliffton. She was the oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 87 on June 18th, 1983 in Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan. She was buried in Deepdale Cemetary, Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.-
