Herbert A. was born on October 10th, 1876 in Newton, New Hampshire. Herbert A.'s father is Alva W. Sargent and his mother is Willeamine M. Chase. His paternal grandparents were Richard Sargent and Nancy M. Tewksbury. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Wilbur R., Raymond A., Harold C., Lora A., Mary A., Mabelle N. and Sadie P.. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He had a half-brother named Willie. He died at the age of 2 in 1878.-
