Elmer Chester Sargent 
Elmer Chester was born on June 12th, 1911 in Crisman (now Portage), Porter, Indiana. Elmer Chester's father was Albert Chester Sargent and his mother was Dora Jeanette Brown. His paternal grandparents were Jerome B. Sargent and Mary F. Crummell. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Charlie Jerome, Lester Albert, Cora Elizabeth, Elsie Murel and Ester Ruthven. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 74 on December 30th, 1985 in Sturgis, St. Joseph, Michigan.-
